Tell Your Character’s story

Hi, welcome to today’s blog. I’m going to share the story of a girl named Jade. It’s a simple story really, but pay attention. I’m not the best at imagining characters, so I plan on taking a more direct route here. Jade does things, she lives. Now, this may have you thinking I’m lazy or boring, but the video I have produced to tell Jade’s story includes a few life lessons. She grew up in a regular family, her parents divorced, her siblings became independent, and she was left feeling empty.

She navigates high school drama and college life, and eventually finds her sense of purpose.

What’s the solution? Living. Jade navigates life and happiness by surrounding herself with things she enjoys, and immersing herself in new experiences. She moves from Idaho to New York City and constantly goes on adventures while working remotely.

Her life is meant to be inspiring, to remind people they have free will to live and complete things they want to try for the fun of it. Quite literally, she is Jade who does things. Many people I know just grow up, deal with being stressed out and unhappy, and stick to their 9-5 job every day without trying too many new things.

In the end, Jade didn’t master adulthood, didn’t conquer fear, and certainly didn’t learn to cook. She did learn that growing up isn’t a straight line, but an assembly of awkward stumbling through lessons. From befriending a cat to falling off a skateboard, from fearing college to surviving New York, Jade kept trying. Maybe that’s enough.
